
When Starbucks, KFC, and other fast food chains start selling coffee
Google News headline Starbucks buys coffee trade organization Coffee trade organization article Starbucks announced its $1 billion purchase of the Coffee Trade Organizations (CTOs) on Wednesday, a move that could potentially expand the coffee trade market.
“Starbucks believes that the CTOs have the potential to create a robust market for coffee,” Starbucks CTO Amy Lutz said in a press release.
Starbucks plans to launch a “Coffee and Beverages for Health” app in partnership with the CTAs.
“The app will include data, reviews and analytics to help customers make more informed decisions about their health and wellness, and the CIOs will work together to develop and deliver solutions to meet the health needs of their customers.”
Starbucks said the CTEs would focus on “high-value categories,” including coffee, chocolate, and teas, as well as on “new categories” like organic and natural foods.
Starbucks already has several coffee trade groups, including its own.
The coffee trade group, which has about 150 members, has about 3,000 members across the U.S., Canada, and Germany.
Starbucks also announced plans to expand the COOs’ operations to include the new digital platform, which will include a full-fledged restaurant, cafe, and coffee shop, as part of its coffee shop and coffee shops platform.
Starbucks’ purchase of CTO, which also includes coffee shop business, follows similar acquisitions in the past few years.
In January, Starbucks acquired two online coffee shops in Europe for $1.5 billion, a deal that was valued at $6.3 billion.
Last month, Starbucks bought coffee brand Espresso and its coffee-shop operations in Italy for $2.5 million.
Starbucks has also acquired the brand and the European coffee brands Espresso, Elisa, and Coffee & Tea for about $1 million each.
Starbucks is expected to release details about the new Coffee and Beverage for Health app in the coming weeks.
Starbucks was founded in 1975, and has more than 20,000 stores in more than 200 countries.
Starbucks operates about 1,600 coffee shops across the United States, including a flagship store in Chicago’s Financial District, as it has been expanding into the city’s coffee market since 2013.
The company also owns and operates other specialty coffee brands including the Costa Coffee brand, as has been rumored for several months.
